dg nanouk okpik is Inupiaq-Inuit, raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She has earned an AFA from Salish Kootenai College in liberal arts/liberal studies, a BFA at the Institute of American Indian Arts, and an MFA at the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast College. Her first book is winner of the American Book Award. dg nanouk okpik works for the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture/Laboratory of Anthropology in Santa Fe with high-risk Native students teaching poetry as a healing art. Corpse Whale (2010) is okpik’s first full-length poetry collection. Her next collection is Thaw.

Dyani White Hawk (Sičáŋğu Lakota) is a visual artist and independent curator based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. White Hawk earned a MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2011) and BFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico (2008). She served as Gallery Director and Curator for the All My Relations Gallery in Mpls from 2011-2015.
