  • An art print from a collaborative mixed-media piece, which was inspired by a poem titled “Seven Sisters” written by Heid E. Erdrich from her book of poetry, Cell Traffic (University of Arizona Press, 2012).

It was made using acrylic paint on canvas with inkjet printed text on paper, which has been adhered to the canvas using varnish. There is a painted deer hide border and the entire piece is suspended between steel rods with wool yarn.

The painted image of mother and baby was derived from a photograph taken of my mother and I, shortly after my birth.

You can find art prints and greeting cards of Carolyn’s earlier mixed media works on the website. More recently, she has found herself interested in beadwork. Carolyn beads earrings with some of the tiniest glass seed beads available on the market today. Because it takes so long to finish a pair, she makes them to order. See the beadwork section for more information.
